Really not sure how it is already almost the middle of May! The summer can also be a very difficult time to study. Often you don't want to bring your materials, but you want to squeeze in an hour or two of studying so you stay on track.
My favorite recommendation for this is the recorded courses as you can take them right from your phone (download the Teachable app) and pause and restart as you need (includes unlimited access for 2 weeks). If you haven't check them out already be sure to do so (2 free classes available). If you are looking for extra accountability don't forget to check out the June Monthly Group. June registration is now open and classes start June 6th and includes 22 recorded courses plus live classes and homework! (Scroll down for more details).
My team is expanding this summer to include a RD2B intern! I'm very excited to have her come on this summer as she will be helping me with many projects for both my tutoring and private practice. I'll be introducing her on my Instagram (@danajfnutrition) soon so be sure to follow!
Cheers to warmer weather and studying outside!

One of the biggest struggles students face with this exam is the lack of deadlines and assignments as they have in school. It is not uncommon for students with great grades in school to when you study for the dietitian exam, there is no preceptor or professor who is checking in on you or requesting assignments from you. Students are often studying on their own and also miss the classroom environment.
For these students I have made my monthly tutoring group. This 4 week courses provides students with the structure and accountability they need to stay on track with their studying. All packages included recorded general review courses, study guides and homework assignments. Classes start the first Monday of the month and each week we meet as a class for 1.5 hours (8-9:30pEST). The first 30 minutes of the class will be for questions on the domain from students followed by a 1 hour practice question class of domain questions. Each group is limited to 10 students to allow for students to easily be able to be engaged in class and also to help for a community.
In addition to the live classes each week, each week students receive homework assignment, activities and self guided lessons to help them to have independent study of the material we are receiving in class. All questions are open ended to encourage learning and for me to be able to better evaluate areas that the student struggles with most. Students have 1.5 weeks to complete the homework for each domain and are able to turn in their homework to me for review and comments.
