This week I received an email from a student that I think many of you will be able to relate to! She told me how she had been a member on the Facebook page and had really been enjoying the live sessions and was trying to figure out the best tutoring resources to purchase to support her studying. As she reviewed other services she found many options that were very expensive and were not necessary tailored to her learning style or needs. She wasn't sure what was the best option for her so she emailed me for my take (I was so glad to be seen as a trusted source) and I will share what I told her with you all!
I know there are a lot of things that can be purchased for the RD exam and the most important things are to consider:
1) What material you need help with (review course vs specific topics)
2) Your learning style (recorded classes vs small group vs one-on-one)
3) Budget
Again the most important is to pick the option that works best for you! If you want to work with a tutor be sure you have "sampled" their teaching style whether it be with a free session or a 1 time class as we each have a different style, different programs and prices.
For my business, my goal has a always been to provide high quality tutoring services, but also keep that at prices that I knew I would have been able to affordable as a student. Whether you have $10 or $500 that you want to invest in tutoring, I have a program for you. If you aren't sure which is right for you I always have free 15 minute discovery calls available to chat more! Don't forget we have a $10 exam prep class happening tomorrow night where I'll be sharing more of my favorite tips for studying.
June Group Registration
The biggest announcement of the week is that registration for the June group is now open! The cost of the group is $150 and this includes 8 hours of live tutoring over 4 2 hour sessions. The sessions will be 6-8pmEST on 6/6, 6/13, 6/20 and 6/27 .
Each week we will cover a general review of each domain. Each session is a mix of presentation, discussion and practice questions. As we can of course not cover everything in each domain in 2 hours, you will also have assignments to complete each week. These are a mix of homeworks, study guides and self guided lessons. Throughout the course I do also offer support via email and group students also have the option to add on additional one-on-one sessions and recorded/live courses.
Student Review: "Group Tutoring Sessions with Dana is GREAT! The homework assignments she gives are very thorough and cover a variety of important topics you might see on the exam. She is very timely with responses and has great availability, she is only just an email away! Her feedback on the homework assignments are great, as well as her lectures. She really enriched my learning experience for this exam. She truly cares for her students and wants us to succeed, I 10/10 recommend her group tutoring sessions!" -RR (April Group) I only take 8 students per group and spots tend to fill quickly so do not hesitate to register if you think this program would be a good fit for you! This group also runs monthly so if you would like to be put on the wait list for another month please let me know!
