Study Review of the Week: Natalie, RD (Score=30)
What made you choose to work with Dana? "I felt lost trying to study for the exam alone and had no idea what to correct in order to pass the second time. I saw Dana had good reviews and a lot of resources from other students online"
Review of Sessions with Dana: "Dana was really helpful over the ~5 weeks I studied with her! I really liked the recorded classes a lot because they were easy to listen to and understand. The homework assignments really helped me to better understand concepts, especially in domain 2. The 1 on 1 sessions helped me to find weak spots and I felt comfortable working with Dana even when I was struggling to understand a topic."

One of the biggest struggles students face with this exam is the lack of deadlines and assignments as they have in school. It is not uncommon for students with great grades in school to when you study for the dietitian exam, there is no preceptor or professor who is checking in on you or requesting assignments from you. Students are often studying on their own and also miss the classroom environment.
For these students I have made my monthly tutoring group. This 4 week courses provides students with the structure and accountability they need to stay on track with their studying. All packages included recorded general review courses, study guides and homework assignments. Classes start the first Monday of the month and each week we meet as a class for 1.5 hours (8-9:30pEST). The first 30 minutes of the class will be for questions on the domain from students followed by a 1 hour practice question class of domain questions. Each group is limited to 10 students to allow for students to easily be able to be engaged in class and also to help for a community.
In addition to the live classes each week, each week students receive homework assignment, activities and self guided lessons to help them to have independent study of the material we are receiving in class. All questions are open ended to encourage learning and for me to be able to better evaluate areas that the student struggles with most. Students have 1.5 weeks to complete the homework for each domain and are able to turn in their homework to me for review and comments. Click here to learn more and apply!
