Have you joined any RD Exam group tutoring classes? Group classes are one of my favorite things to recommend to students who want to shake up their studying and here are my top 5 reasons to join a group class!
#1 Accountability: Signing up and paying for a class helps to make sure you are going to actually complete a review of that topic.
#2 To Test Out a Tutor: With so many great tutors with a variety of class offerings and teaching styles, it is a great idea to try out a tutor before your purchase a program.
#3 Affordability: The group nature of the class allows the price of the session to be much lower than a 1:1 session.
#4 Community: Studying for this exam can be a lonely journey. Coming to weekly classes helps you to connect with students who are in the same place you are and also gives you access to a tutor to keep you supported through your journey.
#5 Study Materials: Most classes will also likely include the slides, a study guide or other resources for you. (Very dependent on the program, but you will always get slides and a 50% off of the recording with my classes!) No need to reinvent the wheel!
Sold on group classes, but not sure off my offers? I have 2 group tutoring options:
-Monthly Tutoring Group: This is a 4 week structured course of 2 hr lives classes (Sundays 6-8pest) each week, homework assignments, study guides and weekly email check ins! (March Group starts 3/6/2022)
-Wednesday Small Group Tutoring Sessions: Each week I host a class on Wednesdays at 8p EST. Classes cover both topics and practice questions and are 1-1.5 hours in length depend on the topic. Registration includes the live class, slides, resources and a 50% off coupon to the recorded class. Best way to see the schedule is to sign up for the newsletter or check out the Weekly Updates blog posts. Scroll down for upcoming class schedule! Ready to sign up or have questions? March Group Starts 3/6
March is the 15th launch of my Monthly Group Tutoring Program! This course is ideal for students who did well in school, but find the lack of structure and deadlines of studying for the RD exam to be a barrier to studying for and passing the exam. This 4 week courses provides students with the structure and accountability they need to stay on track with their studying. Classes meet 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27 6-8pest. Each class is focused on a general review of 1 domain and is a mix of lecture, practice questions and discussion to provide a general review of the domain. In between classes, students complete homework assignments (graded by Dana), videos and review resources to help keep them on track. Each group is limited to
10 students to allow for students to easily be able to be engaged in class and also to help for a community. Students can pick from 4 different programs to help allow for a customizable experience (starting at $200). Course also included weekly email check ins.
