Study recommendations for students working full time (and yes SAHM’s this includes you!)

One of the most common things I hear from students after they come to work with me after a failed exam is that they studies so much for the exam that they felt burnt out by the end.

When it comes to the RD exam we want quality over quantity. For those of you with busy schedules, if you are coming home after a full day only to jump right into studying, you are going to start to feel exhausted and your motivation to study is going to quickly!

It is so much better to take 1 week day off from studying, get in 1-2hrs a day of studying during the week and use your weekends for your longer study session/practice exams. Having this studying pattern helps my students to balance all their responsibilities while still getting in 10-15 hours per week.

Another thing that is important to realize with your packed schedule is that your study timeline will be longer than someone who doesn’t work full time. The most important thing is to be realistic with your exam date because taking it when you know your are not read puts you at higher risk of failing, having to pay $200 and having to wait another 45 days.
