Meet the Summer DJF Interns

I'm so excited to be welcoming 2 interns to my team this summer! Let's meet the new interns:

Meet Sarah:

Where are you in your studies? - I just finished my DPD coursework during my undergraduate program at Boston University. I am set to begin my MS+DI program this fall at New York University and JJPVAMC! Why did you want to become a dietitian? - I wanted to become a dietitian because I love food and how food connects everyone. It’s a way to fuel, socialize, and spark excitement in life! What is your dietitian dream job? - My dream dietitian job is working in a community and outpatient setting where I can understand the community better by practicing within it, thus connecting vulnerable populations with the care that they need! What are you looking forward to most working with me as an intern? - I am looking forward to learning about the private practice aspect as well as the RD Exam tutoring side of things! I hope to gain confidence in counseling and speaking by working with Dana.

Meet Cassie:

Where are you in your studies?

I will be starting my first semester of the MS+DI program at Idaho State University in the fall.

Why did you want to become a dietitian?

I want to become a dietitian to help educate people in my community about their food choices and the health benefits and consequences.

What is your dietitian dream job?

My dietitian dream job is a position where I can use my skills and knowledge to my best ability in helping the people in my community. I am not sure what area most intrigues me, but I am hoping my internship and schooling will help me decide.

What are you looking forward to most working with me as an intern?

I am looking forward to learning about the dietetic field after schooling. As well as, improving my counseling skills and knowledge on various nutrition topics.
